A local chicken restaurant has come under fire recently, with many local residents questioning why they’re going through so many employees. The permanent ‘now hiring’ sign on the door, and the unknown whereabouts of most of the employees has only added to the fire, leaving the restaurant in the middle of a public relations crisis. Many suspect there is something more sinister going on, with some even suggesting the excess employees being cooked and sold under the guise of chicken.
“It’s been 2 weeks since I’ve seen my daughter”
“My daughter was hired a month ago, and the first month was great, but she hasn’t been home in two weeks and I’m worried,” says the mother of a recent hire at the restaurant.
“When I called them the manager just said she’s been rostered on for a 504-hour shift, I don’t even think that’s legal, but they just assured me she’s fine and she just really wanted the extra hours”.
The mother of another new employee, 19 year old Keith Cook has also reported him missing.
“It’s not like him to not come home.”
“It’s been over a week and when I contacted the manager to ask about my son, he said he already quit the job and moved to Mexico. If that’s so, why didn’t he tell me? Why didn’t he pack up his stuff at home? It just doesn’t make sense. They even gave me a picture that he apparently sent from Mexico, but I think it might be faked.”

The restaurant has put out a statement on this matter, claiming that ‘all employees very enjoy working here and we have a staff rule that states no cannibalism’, and on the topic of why they hire so many workers, they stated ‘all staff is valuable and more staff means more chickin[sic] to sell for the customers’. With the unconvincing statements from the restaurant, it’s only a matter of time before more drastic measures are put into the investigation of it.
